Before your first lesson.
Short answers to the questions most new students ask.
Do I need any flying experience?
No. Discovery flights and introductory lessons are specifically designed for people who have never flown an airplane before.
Where does Rachel teach?
Rachel is based at Lincoln County Regional Airport (KIPJ) in Lincolnton, North Carolina. The exact aircraft and operating arrangement are confirmed before scheduling.
Can I book directly on the website?
Not yet. Submit a quick request with up to three preferred dates/time windows. Rachel will compare your preferences against aircraft and instructor availability and respond with options.
How much does flight training cost?
Pricing depends on the aircraft, lesson type and operating arrangement. Submit a quick request and Rachel will confirm the applicable option and current rate before anything is scheduled.
Can I buy a flight as a gift?
Yes. Use the Packages & Specials page to request a Discovery Flight gift certificate. Rachel confirms the recipient information, availability and payment instructions before issuing the certificate.
Can we schedule a sunset or anniversary flight?
Rachel may offer sunset introductory lessons and couples first-flight experiences when weather, aircraft, and scheduling allow. These are structured as flight instruction, not sightseeing transportation.
How do I reach Rachel?
Submit the lesson-request form first so Rachel has your goals and availability. After submission, you can follow up by calling or texting (980) 281-2050.
